The colourful Sunlight Seife joined the range in 1983 and was originally sold only in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Livery: (Label)
Complex one piece label using red, black, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue and white.
Unusually the "Sunlight" label completely covered the side windows.
Variations/Rarities:
It had a yellow body and a black chassis and seats and a matt black roof.
It had a gold plated radiator and windscreen frame.
Released with red 12 spoke wheels.
It had red ornate type 2 rear doors.
There are no known variations on this hard to find model but fakes are known to exist.
The following combination of features shows you how to identify the GENUINE version:
Outline is all round 20,000; Green squiggle above letter S of Seife; Lower end of the letter S is round; Black outline of SEIFE not too thick; Lettering in blue bar not too bold; Red cross in rosette proportionally correct; Washing line has pole behind woman.
What to look out for in the FAKE version:
Outline around 20,000 doesn’t go all the way round: Green squiggle above letter S of Seife is missing; Lower end of the letter S has spike; Black outline of SEIFE is thicker; Lettering in blue bar is very bold; Red cross in rosette is smaller; Washing line pole behind woman is missing.
Today its price has dropped somewhat, but it is still one of the more expensive models and fakes are appearing.
